The Mobile Legacy application is used for gathering UID information on legacy items that need to be registered into the UID Registry. These items are usually in the possession of government agencies and contractors. Within the Handheld Legacy application is the legacy collect screen to gather UID data by scanning UID items and recording information necessary for sending to the UID registry. Information such as the UID itself, part number, description, whether it is an end item or an embedded item, Parent UID, the Mfg ID which provides the CAGE, DODAAC or DUNs of the manufacturer who supplied the equipment, and the Mark ID which is the CAGE, DODAAC or DUNs of the entity that created the mark on the item. Additionally, you will have the Mark Type, Mark Data if using Construct 1 or Construct 2 format or the Mark Value data string if not using Construct 1 or Construct 2 format.
Once the gathering process has been completed, the Handheld Legacy application takes the collected data and automatically formats it for entry to the UID Registry. |
By including the Freedom Technologies UID Validation Application on your MC3090 UID and Bar Code reader, you have our time tested validation application which follows the MIL-STD 130M rules for decoding a UID. The UID Validation screen allows you to scan a barcode and display the decoded data. Our UID Validation application will let you know if there are not enough data fields in the UID, extra fields in the UID, incorrect field identifiers or incorrect data size such as a seven digit CAGE code.
