The U.S. DoD has more than 1.5 million active-duty personnel deployed around the globe. Efficiently managing the assets that support these personnel can be complicated, to say the least. Army IUID Implementation
Anniston Army Base implements UID Legacy compliance for the M9-ACE.

Anniston Army Depot uses Freedom Technologies Corporation’s handheld software solution to implement Legacy UID compliance for the M9-ACE.
This is a first for the Army where a legacy major end item and all of its qualifying embedded components were marked with UID labels by an Army Depot. The ACE (Armored Combat Earthmover) is marked as it goes through the process of being reworked and rebuilt after being in field operations. This is when the team has access to the embedded components making it easier to apply the mark. (FULL STORY)
